On Friday, April 10, Arborview sent out the below e-mail blast to all its tenants to stack public comments for the 3200 Washington Street project, with vague and misleading information on how affordability in the project would work. The e-mail says nothing about prioritizing Egleston residents or strengthening the Egleston community.

Subject: Request for Support: New Housing Development
Dear Arborview residents,
One of Arborview’s clients has proposed to build 76 much needed rental housing units at 3200 Washington St. in JP. The project would be two six floor buildings, over covered parking, with a restaurant and commercial space, as well as a three family house. This proposal calls for an innovate building with a focus on bikes (2 huge bike rooms accessible from the sidewalk), open space (decks on every unit and a large common courtyard), environmentally friendly components (such as solar power) and a close proximity to the T, which will make for some great housing options. The proposal also calls for significantly more affordable units then are required, making these units available to a wide group of people.
As renters in JP, I am sure you know how difficult it can be to find nice housing due to the lack of sufficient rental units in Boston and we think it is projects like this that help increase the supply of units to make finding places easier for prospective tenants. We believe that this new development will be an exciting way to add housing on what is now a vacant site and, if this gets built, existing Arborview tenants will have the first opportunity to rent these units with no realtor fee.
The input of the public is extremely important in getting this approval so it can be built and we would be grateful if you could send some support for this project to the City. You can easily send this support through the form at the bottom of this link: —— or by emailing Edward McGuire at the Boston Redevelopment Authority (——) and saying that you support the proposed development at 3200 Washington St. Please include your JP address in this email and any reasons why you support this project. Comments are due to the City by April 15th, so if you are in favor of this project we would appreciate if you could sent them your support ASAP.
Renderings of the project are below and details about it can also be found here: http://www.bizjournals.com/boston/real_estate/2015/02/mixed-use-retail-residential-project-proposed-in.html
Thank you for taking the time to read this and supporting this project.
